- Do you always know what is happening behind you before you change speed or direction?
- Have you read or looked at the Highway Code in the past year?
- Have you read it since passing your L test?
- Do you always know the speed limit for the road on which you are driving?
- Do you know the difference between road signs giving orders which are prohibitive and those which give positive instruction?
- Do you finish braking before you go into a bend?
- Do you generally avoid braking when going round bends?
- Do you ever consider giving an arm signal?
- Can you give four advantages of keeping your distance from the vehicle in front?
- Do you know what the two second rule is about?
- Do you use the two second rule?
- Can you describe four situations where it can be difficult to assess accurately the speed at which you are driving?
- Do you always set off with clean windows and lights?
Your answers to questions 1-7 should be NO. Your answers to 8-20 should be YES.
If these were not your answers then your driving is not ideal; there is room for improvement.
